B1CE Player
Code of
Conduct
-
Attend practice on time or notify the coaches (ahead of time if possible) why I am unable to attend. All practices are required.
-
Focus on what the team is doing and use the practice time to improve my skills and my physical abilities. Those who put little or no effort into practice will get little or no playing time.
-
Treat everyone involved with our team with respect and courtesy. This includes coaches, teammates, officials, opponents, and fans of both teams. Disruptive behaviour and a lack of self control will not be tolerated. Any such instance will result in the player being asked to leave the team.
-
Speak to the coach’s first if an issues arises related to the team. I will not complain to others until I have given the person I have a problem with an opportunity to correct it.
-
Work hard to develop good habits by practicing with good form and appropriate effort. The habits we develop in practice are the habits that will determine how we play in the games.
-
Practice good health habits including getting (8-9) hours of sleep when possible, eating breakfast, eating healthy foods, no alcohol, no drugs, no cigarettes or tobacco, no excessive pop and drinking at least 8 glasses of water per day.
-
Attend school all day. Each student must attend all day classes. I will maintain a grade average discussed with family and coaches to be able to play. School comes first. Grades and true class work come before basketball. I will do my homework when I should. I will not wait until the last day to do my homework or study.
